Tropidoderus gracilifemur

Updated: Oct 9, 2019

I recently received eggs of this species so this blog will be about how well I do with them.

I received the eggs on the 21st may 2019. Im taking it they are about 1 month old.

So a bit of back ground information about this species. In the wild they live in northern Queensland sometimes in coastal areas but mainly well inland.

The temperature is never really cold here so I’m unsure of the life span. I’ve placed the eggs at 26c . come September if they are not hatching I will increase this to 28/29c to see if that helps.

I know they eat eucalyptus but will also test other plants , oak and bramble first then others.

8th October 2019

today the first egg has hatched , very fast when I opened lid. Tomorrow I will try to get a good photo and measure.
